I hope you’re doing well. I wanted to provide an important update regarding Erie Insurance. On Saturday, June 7th, Erie identified unusual network activity and confirmed last week that the ongoing platform outages are the result of a cybersecurity event.
Their systems — including the customer portal and internal processing tools — remain down, and the full scope and impact of the incident are still being investigated.
That said, here are a few key things to know:
Your coverage remains active.
Erie will not contact you for payments by phone or email during this time. Please be cautious of potential phishing attempts.
If you need to start a claim, you can still do so by calling:
Your local agent (that’s me), or
ERIE’s First Notice of Loss team: (800) 367-3743
For customer support, you can also reach Erie at (800) 458-0811.
Erie has brought in cybersecurity experts and is working closely with law enforcement to resolve the issue. In the meantime, if you have any questions or concerns, I’m here to help in any way I can.
Thank you for your continued patience and understanding.
